Works Accelerated for Yadadri’s Fifth Power Unit Launch

GENCO CMD Dr. S. Harish has directed officials to make the 800 MW Unit-5 of the Yadadri Thermal Power Station ready by the end of this month. On Friday, he inspected the ash handling, coal handling, boiler and turbine sections of Unit-5 along with BHEL Director (Power) Tajinder Gupta and reviewed the progress of the ongoing works.

Harish instructed officials to speed up the pending works and complete the synchronisation of Unit-5 by October 15. He said steps were being taken to commission the fifth unit at the earliest while operating the four existing units at Yadadri at full capacity, keeping in view the increased power demand in the state.
