During heavy rains, nothing feels more comforting than enjoying hot and crispy traditional snacks. Moong dal vadas, a timeless favorite, become even more irresistible when paired with peanut chutney or spicy chicken gravy. Their crunchy texture and rich flavor often tempt people to indulge a little extra. Made with simple ingredients like soaked moong dal, green chilies, ginger, onions, cumin seeds, and curry leaves, these vadas are both flavorful and easy to prepare.
To make these delicious vadas, soak one cup of moong dal for at least three hours. After draining the water, grind the dal along with green chilies and ginger into a slightly coarse paste. Mix in chopped onions, cumin seeds, curry leaves, coriander, and salt. Heat oil in a pan, shape the mixture into small vadas, and deep-fry until they turn golden brown on both sides. Serve hot for the best taste.
