People experiencing hair fall, thinning or weakened hair may benefit from including nutrient-rich foods in their daily diet. Laddus prepared with pumpkin seeds, flaxseeds, white sesame seeds, almonds, walnuts and dates provide nutrients such as protein, healthy fats, iron and zinc. Some of these ingredients also contain biotin, which plays a role in maintaining healthy hair. These nutrients support overall health and may help maintain normal hair growth. However, there is insufficient scientific evidence to establish that eating these laddus alone will stop hair fall or accelerate new hair growth.
To prepare these laddus, use half a cup each of pumpkin seeds, flaxseeds, white sesame seeds, almonds and walnuts, along with one cup of deseeded dates. Dry-roast the nuts and seeds separately over low heat and allow them to cool. Grind them into a coarse powder and blend the dates into a soft paste. Combine both mixtures thoroughly and shape them into small laddus. There is no need to add sugar, ghee or oil. These laddus can be consumed in moderation as part of a balanced diet. However, excessive hair loss may result from nutritional deficiencies, hormonal changes or other medical conditions. Anyone experiencing persistent hair loss should consult a healthcare professional to identify the underlying cause.
