Nandamuri Balakrishna celebrated his 67th birthday and marked the occasion by sharing significant updates about the Basavatarakam Indo American Cancer Hospital. Speaking at a special event, he said the institution continues to provide world-class healthcare at affordable costs, fulfilling the vision of his mother, Basavatarakam. He also announced plans for the North Block expansion in Hyderabad and revealed that the first phase of a new ₹650-crore hospital project at Thullur in the Amaravati region is expected to be completed by 2028.
During his interaction, Balakrishna said that age is merely a number and has no connection with a person’s ability to work and contribute to society. In a light-hearted remark, he joked that anyone calling him “uncle” or “grandfather” should be careful. He emphasized the importance of staying active and working continuously, adding that while divine blessings matter, an individual’s future is also shaped by their own efforts. Apart from his successful film career, Balakrishna continues to serve as the MLA of Hindupur and remains active in public service and politics.
