Nandamuri Balakrishna recalled his journey as a director with the 2004 film Narthanasala, sharing his passion for cinema and his role in supporting late actor Srihari’s rise. He said he took up direction because the project aligned with his vision and thought process. Balakrishna emphasized that he worked with a co-director and believes humility is essential in filmmaking, noting that cinema is driven by passion rather than ego.
He also spoke about casting Srihari as Bheema, stating that he immediately recognized his talent and physique as a rare combination. Balakrishna described Srihari as one of his closest friends. He further recalled an incident from Narasimha Naidu shoot, saying his screen presence alone was enough to create impact.
