Actress Radhika Sharathkumar expressed deep disappointment over the atmosphere during the funeral of filmmaker K. Bhagyaraj. She said a funeral should be a peaceful place where family members and close friends can bid an emotional farewell, but the heavy crowd turned the occasion into a chaotic scene. Describing the situation as “a circus”, she said such an environment was painful for the grieving family.

Radhika urged the government and the film industry to introduce clear protocols for managing crowds and media during funerals of public personalities. In an emotional social media post, she described Bhagyaraj as a great artist and accomplished writer, recalling their 50 year friendship. She said his demise was an irreparable loss to his family, friends, and admirers.
