Hype Builds Around ‘Cocktail 2’ Starring Shahid, Kriti, and Rashmika

Bollywood’s much-awaited film Cocktail 2 has been granted an A certificate by the censor board, creating strong buzz among audiences. Directed by Homi Adajania, the film is set for a worldwide release on June 19 with a runtime of 2 hours and 30 minutes. Advance bookings opened from midnight on June 14, reflecting high anticipation. Backed by Maddock Films, the movie stars Shahid Kapoor, Kriti Sanon, and Rashmika Mandanna in lead roles. The youthful content and fresh pairing have significantly raised expectations.

This marks Kriti Sanon’s first A-rated film in her 12-year career, while Rashmika Mandanna receives her second A certificate in Hindi after Animal. For Shahid Kapoor, it is his fifth A-rated film after Kaminey, Udta Punjab, Kabir Singh, and Teri Baaton Mein Aisa Uljha Jiya, making it the first time he has back-to-back A-rated releases. The original Cocktail (2012) had a UA certificate with a runtime of 146 minutes, whereas the sequel is slightly longer. All eyes are now on how Cocktail 2 performs at the box office with its A certification.
