Shriya Saran, who established herself as a leading actress by starring alongside several top stars, is currently enjoying her second innings with promising opportunities. After appearing in a special role in this year’s ‘Mirai’, the actress recently recalled her first meeting with superstar Rajinikanth in an interview. She revealed that director Shankar had called her one day and asked if she would be interested in acting in a film, to which she immediately agreed. When she later visited his office, she noticed prominent personalities such as AR Rahman, Rajinikanth and cinematographer K.V. Anand, making her realise that a major project was being discussed.
Shriya said she was surprised when Shankar introduced Rajinikanth as her co-star. Until that moment, she had no idea that the film was going to be such a massive project or that she would be sharing the screen with the superstar. She recalled being shocked by the introduction and said the scale of the film became clear to her only after seeing several renowned personalities associated with the project. The experience eventually marked the beginning of the ‘Sivaji’ journey.
