Dora Sai Teja, who recently gained attention with the Danda series, has spoken about his journey as an actor, content creator, director and entrepreneur. He revealed that his association with cinema began at a young age, including dubbing for a child character in Adavi Ramudu and appearing in projects such as Kotha Bangaru Lokam and Ala Modalaindi. His association with Ram Gopal Varma from 2016 further introduced him to the world of filmmaking. After starting his YouTube journey seriously in 2018 with the Back Benchers series, he went on to create several digital projects and eventually launched his own content creation company. According to him, content creation is his business, while cinema is his passion.
Speaking about his work ethic, Sai Teja said he constantly thinks like a content creator, director, actor and producer. He prefers learning things on his own and believes every setback offers a new lesson. Discussing social media, he said he wants to use his digital following as a bridge to bring audiences into theatres. He also stressed that the influencer space comes with both appreciation and criticism and that newcomers must be prepared for both. Talking about his role as Aravind in Danda, he credited director Aditya Devulapalli for giving him the opportunity to portray a challenging character. He also revealed that he prefers completing scenes in a single take and stays in character throughout the shoot to improve efficiency and avoid unnecessary production costs.
Sai Teja further highlighted the importance of marketing in the current entertainment industry. He said even excellent content can fail to reach audiences without an effective promotional strategy. For Danda, his team created a distinctive promotional video explaining the series, which helped audiences connect with the concept. He also spoke about the responsibility of social media influencers, noting that their actions, words, appearance and opinions can significantly influence followers. Looking ahead, Sai Teja wants to bring relatable, inspirational stories to theatres and portray “zero-to-hero” characters. His ultimate goal, he says, is to create projects that make audiences proud and justify the money they spend on him.
