Indian Members Who Joined the Academy Before Rajamouli

Director S.S. Rajamouli has recently received voting membership in the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences, the organization that presents the prestigious Oscars. While this is a major achievement, several Indian cinema legends had already earned Academy membership long before him.

Rahman and Resul Pookutty, along with actors Amitabh Bachchan, Shah Rukh Khan, Salman Khan, Naseeruddin Shah, and Madhuri Dixit, have also received this prestigious honor, highlighting India's growing global recognition in cinema.
