Kollywood star Karthi continues to expand his impressive lineup of films. While his action thriller Sardar 2 is gearing up for a theatrical release on September 10, and Karthi 30 with director Kalyan Shankar is preparing to begin regular shooting, the makers have now officially announced Karthi 31. The film will be directed by acclaimed filmmaker Mohan Raja and produced by Prince Pictures. Described as a wholesome commercial entertainer for family audiences, the project has already generated significant excitement among fans.

Sharing the announcement on social media, Mohan Raja posted an emotional message expressing gratitude to his parents, family members, and well-wishers for their constant support throughout his career. He said the project holds special significance as it marks his 11th directorial venture in his 25th year in cinema, and gives him the opportunity to collaborate with his "dear brother" Karthi.
