Mirnaa Menon Raises Expectations for ‘Jailer 2’

Kollywood actress Mirnaa Menon, who has impressed audiences with her performance and screen presence, has confirmed that she is part of Superstar Rajinikanth’s upcoming sequel Jailer 2. The actress, who has worked across Telugu, Tamil and Malayalam films, gained major recognition with the 2023 blockbuster Jailer. Speaking at an event, Mirnaa revealed that she will be seen in the sequel and shared her excitement about the film’s scale.

Recalling her experience of watching the first Jailer, Mirnaa said she had never seen an interval sequence like it before and had mentioned the same at the time. She urged audiences to imagine how the interval sequence in Jailer 2 could turn out. Her comments about the sequel being bigger and more mass-oriented than the first part have now gone viral, raising expectations. Directed by Nelson Dilipkumar and produced by Kalanithi Maran under the Sun Pictures banner, the action drama also features S. J. Suryah and Vidya Balan in key roles, while Poorna is set to appear in a special song. The makers are currently shooting the film and are planning a grand theatrical release on October 15.
