Murali Mohan Honoured With NTR Centenary Award at 30th FAS Awards Ceremony

Veteran actor Murali Mohan was honoured with the NTR Centenary Award at the 30th Film Analytical and Appreciation Society (FAS) Awards ceremony held in Hyderabad. Speaking at the event, he said awards that recognise genuine talent are highly valuable for artists and technicians, as they provide encouragement and inspire them to work harder. Murali Mohan praised FAS founder-president K. Dharmarao for organising the awards for three decades with the aim of supporting the film industry. He also recalled his association with senior actress Annapurna, who received the Hemalatha Award at the same event, saying they had acted together as lead actors in stage plays before entering films.

Actor Babu Mohan, who received the Dasari actor-political award, said he has continued acting for 42 years, apart from his tenure as a state minister, and is still working on several films. MAA vice-president Madala Ravi appreciated Dharmarao’s efforts to encourage the film fraternity without any personal motive and wished for the FAS Awards to continue for years. Several personalities were honoured, including Srikanth, Narsimha Raju, Annapurna, Hema, Rajitha, Satyakrishnan, Ananth Babu, Racha Ravi, Gautham Raju and senior journalist Vinayak Rao. ETV received the Best Cinema-TV Award. Filmmakers Relangi Narasimha Rao and Thummalapalli Ramasatyanarayana, along with FAS international president K. Dharmarao and its US president Kalyan Chakravarthy, attended the ceremony.
