Nagarjuna is currently busy with the re-release celebrations of Shiva. Unlike many star heroes who usually do not involve themselves much in re-release activities, Nagarjuna personally looked after all the work. Just as he worked closely with Ram Gopal Varma (RGV) 36 years ago, he once again involved him for eight months to prepare the new 4K print. Shiva is the film that introduced RGV’s brilliance to the film industry, and RGV has always had a special respect and affection for Nagarjuna because of that opportunity.
Amid this Shiva frenzy, Nagarjuna’s focus seems to have shifted away from his much-awaited 100th film, for which fans are eagerly waiting for an official update. Recently, in an interview, Nagarjuna confirmed that Tamil director Karthik is working on the script and that it is shaping up well. However, there appears to be a twist—Nagarjuna reportedly liked the script but is unsure about how the director will execute it. Because of this doubt, he plans to watch some sample test footage before taking a final decision.
This is why the official announcement for Nag100 has not been made yet. Nagarjuna has the option to work with a star director for this milestone, but he wants to deliver a strong content-driven film with a young director this time. Although Karthik’s story impressed him, Nagarjuna wants to be extremely cautious, as the 100th film is a significant milestone meant to be remembered forever. While fans are eagerly waiting for any update, Nagarjuna has decided that the announcement will happen only when he feels the time is right. Alongside this, he remains busy hosting Bigg Boss Season 9. Both Akkineni fans and general audiences are hoping that Nag’s 100th film will be something truly special and never-before-seen.
