Nayanthara Set for a Double Treat

Lady Superstar Nayanthara is gearing up for a rare double release, with two of her films scheduled to hit theatres within a gap of just two days. Yash-starrer Toxic, a large-scale action entertainer, is slated for release on August 26. Nayanthara will reportedly play the important character of Ganga in the film. The project has already generated significant anticipation because of its scale, cast and action-oriented storyline.

Just two days later, on August 28, Nayanthara will be seen alongside Kevin in Hi, a romantic comedy-drama directed by Vishnu Edavan. The film is expected to offer a completely different experience from Toxic, with romance, humour and emotional elements at its core. Having two contrasting films arrive in the same week is an interesting development for Nayanthara’s career. While the release of Hi immediately after a big-budget action film like Toxic is being viewed as a bold move, trade circles believe Nayanthara’s popularity and the family-friendly appeal of Hi could work in its favour. August 26 and 28 could therefore become notable dates for the actress.
