Writer and director BVS Ravi has candidly spoken about the box-office failure of Thank You, the film starring Naga Chaitanya and directed by Vikram K. Kumar. Ravi, who penned the story for the film, revealed that editor Navin Nooli had expressed concerns about the movie’s performance even before its release. He added that the team gradually realized the challenges the film might face a few days before it hit theatres.
In a rare display of accountability, BVS Ravi stated that Vikram K. Kumar is one of the finest filmmakers in the country and not someone who usually delivers unsuccessful films. He admitted that if Thank You failed to connect with audiences, the responsibility lies with the story he provided. His honest remarks have drawn appreciation from many in the industry, with several praising him for accepting responsibility instead of shifting the blame elsewhere.
