Actor NTR has strongly condemned the creation and circulation of obscene AI-morphed content on social media. Reacting to an AI-manipulated video involving the Devara song ‘Chuttamalle’, NTR described the act as highly objectionable and a misuse of technology to demean women. In a post on X, he said that those responsible for creating the morphed video would not be spared and warned that legal action would be taken against them.
NTR also urged people not to watch, share or download such objectionable content and called for stronger regulations to curb the misuse of AI. He pointed out that similar deepfake incidents have affected several celebrities in recent years. Actress Shalini Pandey recently spoke out after obscene videos were allegedly created using her identity, while deepfake content involving Rashmika Mandanna, Katrina Kaif, Mrunal Thakur and Keerthy Suresh had also surfaced earlier. The incidents have renewed concerns over the misuse of AI technology and the need for effective action against those creating and circulating such content.
