People Questioned My Pairing with Sunny Deol: Ameesha

As the iconic Bollywood film Gadar completes 25 years, actress Ameesha Patel has opened up about the criticism she faced before signing the movie. She revealed that many people advised her against doing the film, saying the script did not appear to have the ingredients of a major success.

Ameesha also recalled being questioned for starring opposite Sunny Deol due to their age difference. She stated that age gaps are acceptable when they serve the story, but unnecessary age differences should be questioned. According to her, modern audiences are increasingly sensitive to such issues, and it is one of the reasons some films fail to connect with viewers today.
