

The makers of the much-awaited epic Ramayana are adopting a unique release strategy for the film’s global rollout. Producer Namit Malhotra has revealed that the movie will hit international markets first on November 6, while its theatrical release in India is planned for Diwali on November 8. The strategy is aimed at giving the ambitious project a strong international launch before bringing it to the Indian audience during the festive season.
Directed by Nitesh Tiwari, the high-budget visual spectacle features Ranbir Kapoor as Lord Rama, Sai Pallavi as Sita, Yash as Ravana, Sunny Deol as Hanuman and Ravi Dubey as Lakshmana. Oscar-winning composers A.R. Rahman and Hans Zimmer are associated with the music. Dharma Productions is reportedly handling the film’s Indian distribution, while Sony Pictures has acquired the overseas rights. T-Series is also said to have secured the music rights for a reported ₹75 crore.
