

Actor Sathyaraj, who gained nationwide fame for his iconic role as Kattappa in Baahubali, is all set to appear in the upcoming biopic 'GDN', based on the life of legendary Indian inventor G.D. Naidu. The highly anticipated film stars R. Madhavan as G.D. Naidu, with Dushara Vijayan playing the female lead. Directed by Krishnakumar Ramkumar, the film also features Sathyaraj, Jayaram, Priyamani, and Brigida Saga in key roles and is scheduled for a grand worldwide theatrical release on August 7.
During a recent press meet as part of the film’s promotions, Sathyaraj became emotional while speaking about G.D. Naidu. He expressed regret that despite being born and raised in Coimbatore, he had never visited the G.D. Naidu Museum there. He also said that Naidu’s remarkable inventions should receive global recognition and be celebrated alongside the achievements of Thomas Alva Edison. Sathyaraj revealed that the makeup and transformation for portraying G.D. Naidu’s final days in the film left him amazed.
