However, some Hindi media reports recently referred to franchises like Pushpa and KGF as Bollywood films, sparking controversy. Film lovers argue that these movies belong to South cinema and gained success due to their fresh storytelling, large-scale action, and emotional depth, which redefined Indian cinema and elevated South Indian filmmakers to national prominence.
