Udhayanidhi's Remarks Spark Political and Film Industry Row

Tamil Nadu politics has witnessed a fresh controversy after remarks made by DMK leader Udhayanidhi Stalin during a protest over the Cauvery water dispute triggered widespread criticism. Several political leaders and members of the film industry alleged that the comments indirectly targeted actress Trisha. The issue gained further attention after police action against Udhayanidhi and protests by party workers in support of him.

Singer Chinmayi Sripaada and actress-politician Khushbu Sundar strongly condemned the remarks, stating that women should never be dragged into political debates or subjected to derogatory comments. Khushbu demanded an unconditional public apology if the remarks had insulted Trisha. While Udhayanidhi maintained that his statement referred only to the Cauvery issue and not the actress, the controversy continues to fuel political and public debate across Tamil Nadu.
