Vijay Deverakonda’s upcoming period action drama Ranabaali is generating considerable buzz following the release of its trailer and a romantic song. The film reunites Vijay with director Rahul Sankrityan, whose earlier collaboration with the actor, Taxiwaala, was a success. According to reports, Ranabaali has received a U/A certificate from the censor board without any cuts, and its runtime is said to be approximately 2 hours and 50 minutes. However, the certification details and runtime should be confirmed through an official announcement.
Set against the backdrop of the Rayalaseema region between 1854 and 1878, the film reportedly explores the hardships caused by famine, British colonial oppression and unjust taxation. The story centres on a local warrior who stands up for impoverished people and resists exploitation. Rashmika Mandanna plays the female lead opposite Vijay Deverakonda. With the film bringing the two actors together on screen again, audience interest has grown, and viewers are eagerly awaiting further updates about its release.
