Vijay Sethupathi and Puri Jagannadh’s ‘Slumdog: 33 Temple Road’ has completed shooting and is gearing up for release. The teaser received a positive response, raising expectations around the film. The team is currently focusing on post-production work as well as finalising its non-theatrical rights. Given Vijay Sethupathi’s strong popularity in Tamil Nadu, the makers are reportedly planning to release the film simultaneously in Telugu and Tamil.
However, the release schedules of Vijay Sethupathi’s other films could make things difficult for the Puri Jagannadh directorial. His film ‘Train’ has been postponed to September, while ‘Batta’ is scheduled to hit theatres on October 1. With the two films lined up close to each other, finding a suitable release date for ‘Slumdog: 33 Temple Road’ could be challenging. If those films occupy the September and October slots, the Puri Jagannadh film could potentially arrive in December. An official release date is yet to be announced.
