The OTT rights of Rocking Star Yash’s upcoming film ‘Toxic’ have become a topic of discussion amid reports of a sharp decline in potential deal value. An offer of around ₹150 crore for the digital rights was reportedly made earlier, while the makers were said to be expecting a deal worth over ₹200 crore. However, recent reports suggest that the current offer for the film’s digital rights across all languages may be around ₹30 crore. Neither the filmmakers nor the streaming platforms have officially confirmed these figures.
Reports also suggest that ZEE5 may have offered ₹30 crore, potentially structured as a ₹15 crore advance with the remaining amount linked to pay-per-view revenue. There is also speculation that the makers may consider editing a new version for OTT release to improve the deal. The film’s streaming debut was earlier rumoured for September 25, following its reported theatrical release on August 26, but it did not arrive on that date. The makers have yet to announce an official OTT release date or confirm the reported deal.
