All Elections in the Country Are Illegal - Kharge

Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge made strong allegations, claiming that all elections held in the country were illegal. He demanded the dissolution of the Lok Sabha and all state Assemblies, calling for fresh elections. Kharge also alleged that Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Union Home Minister Amit Shah and the Chief Ministers of all states were occupying office through illegal elections. He called for fresh polls to be conducted using ballot papers.

Kharge alleged that Electronic Voting Machines (EVMs) were being misused, claiming that “their own people” were also saying so. He further alleged several irregularities in the ongoing Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls. Kharge criticised the government, claiming that several mistakes were being committed during the process and that the exercise was undermining democracy.
