Allocate Sathupalli Block-3 to SCCL - Minister Tummala

Tummala Nageswara Rao has written to Union Coal and Mines Minister G. Kishan Reddy requesting that the Sathupalli Block-3 coal mine be allocated to Singareni Collieries Company Limited. Welcoming the Centre's recent decision to allot the Tadicherla-2 coal block to SCCL, he urged the Union Government to extend similar support for Sathupalli Block-3.

In his letter, the Minister stated that Sathupalli Block-3 is strategically located adjacent to SCCL's existing mining operations, allowing the company to utilise its current infrastructure, technical expertise, railway siding, and coal handling facilities for early commencement of mining. He said the allocation would strengthen India's energy security while supporting Telangana's economic growth and SCCL's future expansion.
