Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee (TPCC) President Mahesh Kumar Goud described the Bankipur Assembly by-election result in Bihar as a major setback for the BJP. He said the verdict was not limited to a single constituency but reflected a broader political message, adding that the defeat in a long-standing BJP stronghold signalled public dissatisfaction with the ruling party.
Mahesh Kumar Goud stated that issues such as unemployment, rising prices, farmers' concerns, and governance had influenced the electorate. He said the result underscored the importance of delivering effective governance rather than relying solely on political campaigns. He also asserted that the Congress party would continue focusing on public welfare, social justice, constitutional values, and inclusive development while expressing confidence about the party's future prospects.
