Bhongir MP Chamala Kiran Kumar Reddy to Appear Before SIT in Phone Tapping Case

Bhongir MP Chamala Kiran Kumar Reddy is scheduled to appear before the Special Investigation Team (SIT) on Friday in connection with the alleged phone tapping case. The Congress leader, who played a significant role in the party’s success during the 2023 Telangana Assembly elections, was later elected as the Member of Parliament from Bhongir in the 2024 Lok Sabha elections. Investigators reportedly found that his phone was among those allegedly tapped during the previous BRS government’s tenure.

According to officials, the SIT is recording statements from several political leaders whose phones were allegedly monitored. As part of the ongoing investigation, Chamala Kiran Kumar Reddy has been asked to appear before SIT officials at the Integrated Command and Control Centre in Hyderabad at 11 a.m. on Friday. Authorities are expected to record his statement and gather further details related to the alleged surveillance activities.
