Former Tamil Nadu BJP president K. Annamalai has officially stepped down from the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), marking a significant development in Tamil Nadu politics. The party leadership has reportedly accepted his resignation after internal discussions. The decision was approved by BJP National President Nitin Nabin, while the official announcement was made by BJP National General Secretary Arun Singh.

Sources indicate that efforts by senior BJP leaders to persuade Annamalai to remain in the party did not succeed. Political circles are now abuzz with speculation that he may soon launch a new political party in Tamil Nadu. While no formal announcement has been made regarding his future plans, reports suggest that Annamalai is exploring options to establish an independent political platform aimed at expanding his influence in the state. His next move is expected to have a significant impact on Tamil Nadu's political landscape.
