The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has strongly condemned Sonia Gandhi's criticism of the Narendra Modi government's stance on Gaza. Reacting sharply to her remarks, BJP National Spokesperson Shehzad Poonawalla accused Sonia Gandhi of spreading misinformation.
Poonawalla questioned why Sonia Gandhi, who expressed concern over the rights of Palestinians, remained silent when Hindus were allegedly attacked in Bangladesh. He also emphasized that India has already made its position on the Gaza conflict clear and has extended humanitarian assistance to those affected.
The exchange reflects the ongoing political debate in India over the country's foreign policy approach to the Israel–Palestine conflict.
