BRS, BJP Playing Drama Over Kaleshwaram: Dayakar

Government Whip and MLC Dr. Addanki Dayakar criticized BRS and BJP leaders, accusing them of creating unnecessary drama over the Kaleshwaram project. Speaking at a media conference held at Gandhi Bhavan on Sunday, he alleged that the Kalvakuntla family is trying to confuse the people of the state by politicizing the project. He stated that BRS leaders are resorting to cheap politics to cover up their past mistakes and questioned the inconsistency in their statements regarding water storage in the barrages.

Dayakar further said that despite detailed explanations given by the Chief Minister and ministers with maps, BRS leaders are unwilling to understand the facts. He questioned why the Kannepalli pump house was constructed in an area without sufficient water storage and why basic engineering guidelines were ignored during the project’s construction. He also criticized Harish Rao for allegedly ignoring the NDSA report and making statements for political gains, calling it shameful. He termed Harish Rao’s claim of completing in three months what could not be done in nine years as unrealistic.
