BJP Legislature Party leader Aleti Maheshwar Reddy has demanded permanent justice for all those affected by land-related issues, stating that merely announcing the removal of some colonies from the 22A prohibited properties list is not enough. Speaking to the media at the BJP state office on Tuesday, he said people were shocked as leaders of the Congress and BRS continued to reveal details of each other’s properties. He said the BJP would continue its uncompromising fight against alleged land irregularities under the previous BRS government and the present Congress government.
Maheshwar Reddy said the BJP had raised alleged irregularities associated with the 22A prohibited list, Dharani and Bhu Bharati in the Assembly with supporting evidence. He said issuing memos to just four colonies could not be considered a complete solution. As government and private lands running into lakhs of acres were allegedly encroached upon, he demanded an immediate CBI inquiry into the alleged land scams under both the previous BRS and current Congress governments. He added that the BJP would question the government with documentary evidence through a PowerPoint presentation before the media at its state office on the 10th of this month.
