Cockroach Janta Party (CJP) co-convenor Ashutosh Ranka has expressed gratitude to four former chief ministers for supporting students and young protesters during a demonstration held in Delhi on Saturday. Ranka named Arvind Kejriwal, Mamata Banerjee, Manik Sarkar and Pinarayi Vijayan, appreciating their participation in the protest and their support for the younger generation.
According to Ranka, the former chief ministers’ presence alongside students and young people strengthened the campaign. The demonstration was organised to demand the resignation of Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar over alleged irregularities in the revision of electoral rolls. CJP has described the protest as an effort to protect democratic values and seek accountability in the electoral process. The event also saw several political leaders and protesters detained ahead of the demonstration, according to the supplied report. The controversy surrounding voter-list revision and the demands for electoral accountability have become central issues for the campaign.
