Members of the Cockroach Janata Party (CJP) announced a nationwide protest on June 6, demanding the resignation of Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan over alleged irregularities in several competitive examinations. Addressing a press conference on Wednesday, party representatives cited controversies ranging from question paper leaks to result discrepancies in examinations such as NEET, SSC, and CBSE, claiming that lakhs of students have been adversely affected.
Speaking at the event, CJP member and journalist Sourav Das said the party’s primary demand is accountability within the examination system. He claimed that nearly eight lakh people had signed a petition seeking the Education Minister’s resignation. According to the party, the transfer of a few officials does not amount to adequate action, and stronger accountability measures are required. The organization stated that it has been receiving support from students and citizens across the country for its campaign.
