BJP Telangana president N. Ramchander Rao questioned when Congress leader Rahul Gandhi would visit Telangana to listen to the concerns of students. He alleged that Rahul Gandhi has been travelling across NDA-ruled states and participating in the ‘Chhatron Ki Goonj’ programmes while claiming to stand with students and youth. Ramchander Rao asked why he was not addressing the problems faced by students under the Congress government in Telangana. He claimed that nearly 20 lakh SC, ST, BC and EBC students were facing an uncertain future due to pending fee reimbursement payments.
Ramchander Rao challenged Rahul Gandhi to visit Hyderabad’s Ashok Nagar and meet students if he genuinely cared about their concerns. He questioned why Rahul was not raising student issues in states governed by the Congress. The BJP leader demanded that the Telangana government clear the pending fee reimbursement dues and take immediate steps to protect the academic future of affected students. He also called on Rahul Gandhi to directly interact with Telangana students and hear their grievances.
