Andhra Pradesh Minister Kollu Ravindra criticised YSRCP chief and former Chief Minister Y. S. Jagan Mohan Reddy, alleging that political gains were being sought by diverting attention from facts. He claimed that attempts were being made to shift public attention away from the financial crime cases against Jagan and stressed the need to expedite the investigation into alleged fund transfers through shell companies.
Ravindra said that more than 4,000 discharge petitions were delaying the proceedings. He asserted that the existence of CBI cases does not prevent the Enforcement Directorate from continuing its investigation and said it was inappropriate to give the probe a political colour. He added that decisions on personal appearances rest with the courts, not the government, and called for faster proceedings so that the facts could emerge. These are the minister’s allegations; the outcome of the cases rests with the courts.
