Harish Rao calls Bhatti Vikramarka’s debt claims false

Former minister Harish Rao has termed Deputy Chief Minister Bhatti Vikramarka’s claim that the BRS government’s total debt was Rs. 5.16 lakh crore as false. He alleged that even Rs. 15,000 crore borrowed by Congress is being wrongly attributed to BRS. He strongly said that “raising slogans will not change numbers.”

Speaking to the media in Hyderabad, Harish Rao stated that the actual outstanding debt at the time of BRS leaving office was Rs. 4.14 lakh crore. He said welfare schemes like Kalyana Lakshmi and KCR Kit were implemented during the BRS regime and welfare programs were never stopped despite financial constraints.
