Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) leader Patlolla Karthik Reddy has accused the Revanth Reddy government of moving ahead with land acquisition in Telangana in the name of the proposed Bullet Train project. Citing Union Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw's clarification, Karthik Reddy stated that the project's alignment had not yet been finalised and that no request for land acquisition had been sent to the state government. Despite this, he alleged that the state government was proceeding with land acquisition, potentially putting farmers' land and livelihoods at risk.
Questioning the government's actions, Karthik Reddy asked how farmers' land could be acquired before the project's route was finalised. He argued that steps affecting agricultural land should not be taken without clarity on the project's alignment and the formal land acquisition process. The BRS leader called for an explanation from the state government regarding the alleged move. These claims were made by Karthik Reddy, and the status of the proposed land acquisition requires independent verification.
