U.S. President Donald Trump faced a significant political setback after the U.S. House of Representatives approved a resolution aimed at halting military action against Iran. The resolution was passed by a narrow margin, receiving 215 votes in favor and 208 votes against, reflecting growing concern among lawmakers over the possibility of further military escalation.
Members supporting the measure argued that any prolonged conflict with Iran could result in unnecessary loss of lives and impose a heavy financial burden on the United States. They urged an immediate end to what they described as an avoidable and costly military engagement, emphasizing the need for diplomatic solutions over armed confrontation.
