Telangana IT and Industries Minister Duddilla Sridhar Babu has made it clear that the state will not compromise on its rightful share of Krishna and Godavari river waters. He said Telangana would strongly present its case at the upcoming Godavari River Management Board meeting and protect the state’s interests. The minister alleged that the previous BRS government caused significant damage to Telangana’s interests in water allocation. He also asserted that the state government would continue its efforts to secure its rightful share despite any difficulties from the Centre.
During the ‘Prajalatho Mukhamukhi’ programme at Gandhi Bhavan, Sridhar Babu interacted with the public and received 212 petitions concerning Indiramma houses, pensions, waterworks, municipal issues, temple development, pending bills, land and revenue matters, senior citizen and single-women pensions, and IT employment. He spoke to officials over the phone regarding several issues and directed them to take immediate action. The minister also stressed the need to promote industries in Telangana and urged BRS leaders to reconsider their opposition to industrial development.
