Andhra Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan strongly criticized caste politics, law and order issues, and leaders who support criminals. He said the state can progress only when people move beyond caste based politics. Referring to a past incident involving the murder of a Dalit driver, he questioned why certain groups remain silent during such incidents but react when action is taken against criminals.
Pawan Kalyan also expressed dissatisfaction over the role of public representatives, asking what elected leaders are doing in their constituencies if he alone has to speak on every issue. He alleged that evidence in the Sugali Preethi case was destroyed during the previous government’s tenure. Warning criminals, he stated that the government would deal strictly with law and order issues and remarked that the situation would have been different if he had been the Home Minister.
