The Union Cabinet on Tuesday passed a resolution congratulating Prime Minister Narendra Modi on completing 25 years of continuous leadership as head of government. The resolution praised his journey from Chief Minister of Gujarat to Prime Minister of India, guided by the principle of “Nation First, Citizen First”. It said three electoral mandates in Gujarat and support in three successive Lok Sabha elections reflected the enduring public trust in his leadership.
Briefing the media after the Cabinet meeting, Union Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw said Modi’s journey from a humble family background to the positions of Chief Minister and Prime Minister over 25 years was a reflection of the strength and dynamism of Indian democracy. The Cabinet resolution stated that Modi’s public life demonstrated that people support clear and consistent policies focused on national interest and citizen welfare.
