Protect Tribal Rights Inspired by Komaram Bheem = Seethakka

Telangana Panchayat Raj and Rural Development Minister Seethakka called upon tribal communities to draw inspiration from Komaram Bheem and protect their rights, self-respect, language, culture and traditions. She participated in World Tribal Day celebrations held in Aswaraopeta of Bhadradri Kothagudem district and unveiled a statue of Komaram Bheem installed by the Adivasi JAC. Addressing the gathering, Seethakka said the Congress government was committed to protecting the legitimate rights of tribal communities. She clarified that tribals were not opposed to any caste or community and were only fighting for the rights due to them.

The minister directed officials to respectfully receive tribal people who travel from remote areas to raise their concerns and ensure that their grievances are addressed. She said development works worth around ₹1,200 crore had so far been launched through various departments in the Aswaraopeta constituency. Tribal communities welcomed Seethakka with traditional dances, and she joined tribal women in a cultural dance during a procession through the streets of Aswaraopeta. Local MLA Jare Adinarayana, Adivasi JAC representatives and leaders of various tribal organisations attended the event.
