On the occasion of International Day Against Drug Abuse, the Tamil Nadu government organised a public awareness programme focusing on drug prevention. Chief Minister Vijay attended the event as the chief guest and flagged off a marathon with the slogan “Say no to drugs, start running towards a better future.” He also actively participated in the run, covering nearly 6 kilometres alongside participants.
Officials and participants praised the 52-year-old Chief Minister for his energetic involvement, noting his enthusiasm and fitness during the long-distance run. The event aimed to spread awareness about the dangers of drug abuse and encourage youth to adopt a healthy and active lifestyle through sports and fitness activities.
