US President Donald Trump issued a strong warning to Iran, urging the country to either reach an agreement with Washington or face complete surrender. He accused Iran of following a dual approach, claiming that Iranian leaders are seeking talks privately while rejecting them publicly. Trump also stated that the Strait of Hormuz is under US control and Iran will never possess nuclear weapons.

Trump said he delayed plans for military action following requests from Gulf allies Qatar, Saudi Arabia, and the UAE, giving diplomacy more time. He warned that attacks could resume if no agreement is reached. However, Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Ismail Baghaei denied claims of negotiations with Washington, stating that talks are only taking place with Oman regarding a temporary safe navigation route through the Strait of Hormuz.
