Tamil Nadu Deputy Chief Minister Udhayanidhi Stalin launched a sharp attack on Chief Minister Vijay and the TVK government, making a series of sarcastic remarks about the functioning of the State Assembly. Criticising Vijay’s style of addressing the House, Udhayanidhi alleged that the Assembly was being turned into a cinema hall and claimed that the Chief Minister had begun “acting” even inside the legislature.
Continuing his criticism, Udhayanidhi remarked that while Vijay was performing, the Speaker was allegedly giving “cut” and “action” cues, likening Assembly proceedings to a movie shoot. He further quipped that the Chief Minister might soon bring a caravan, makeup artists, and fight masters to the Assembly. Taking another dig at the ruling party, he claimed that ministers were whistling in the House and sarcastically suggested that item-song dances could be the next spectacle in the Assembly.
