BRS working president K.T. Rama Rao (KTR) criticised Congress leader Rahul Gandhi over what he described as “undemocratic rule” in Telangana. In a post on ‘X’ on Tuesday, KTR urged Rahul Gandhi not to ridicule the Constitution while campaigning across the country for its protection. He alleged that BRS leader Manne Krishank was arrested for questioning the alleged corruption involving the Chief Minister’s family with evidence. KTR questioned why leaders could make unsubstantiated allegations against others while a BRS leader was sent to jail for raising questions with supporting evidence. He also urged Rahul Gandhi to rein in what he described as the Telangana Chief Minister’s undemocratic governance.
Meanwhile, KTR announced that he would bear the entire medical expenses of Medak Town constable Davasoth Shankar, who suffered a brain stroke while on duty and is undergoing treatment at KIMS Hospital in Secunderabad. In another post on ‘X’ on Tuesday, KTR said he would support Shankar’s family until the constable fully recovers. He expressed hope that the government would, at least after this incident, pay attention to the difficulties faced by ordinary police personnel who work hard in the line of duty.
