The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has criticized Congress leader Rahul Gandhi, alleging that he is frequently absent from Parliament and political responsibilities due to continuous foreign travel and leisure activities. BJP spokesperson Shehzad Poonawalla mocked the term LoP, saying it should stand for “Leader of Travel” instead of Leader of Opposition. The party also shared satirical posters targeting Rahul Gandhi on social media.
The Congress strongly responded, stating that Rahul Gandhi is a globally recognized leader who is invited by several countries and admired worldwide. Senior leader Salman Khurshid and MP Manoj Kumar defended him. Meanwhile, Rahul Gandhi marked two years as Leader of Opposition in Lok Sabha, stating that he will continue his fight for the voice of the people and shared a video highlighting his parliamentary contributions.
