BRS Legislature Party Deputy Leader and former minister T. Harish Rao strongly condemned the police action against unemployed youth protesting near the Police Recruitment Board. He alleged that the Congress government was suppressing job aspirants who were peacefully demanding their legitimate rights and criticized the police for detaining and arresting the candidates.
Harish Rao said the Congress had promised to fill two lakh government jobs within the first year of coming to power but failed to fulfill the commitment. He demanded the immediate release of all arrested candidates and urged the government to issue a notification for the 20,000 vacant police posts mentioned by the DGP. He also assured that the BRS would continue to support the unemployed youth.
